  • LA County Bar Association Smart Law
    • Smartlaw is the Lawyer Referral Service of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. SmartLaw is a non-profit public service that allows members of the public to find a qualified lawyer in Southern California and get general information about legal issues. There is no cost to access information through SmartLaw and no cost to get referred to a lawyer through SmartLaw. You can get referrals to estate attorneys and access to other information about family law concerns.

    • Nancy’s Tech Help For Older Adults: Provides education and support to clients who want to learn how to use their iPhones, iPads, PCs, and Macs. Nancy teaches clients how to email, text, Zoom, organize files, and more. Clients receive easy-to-follow instructions and are seen (currently by Zoom) weekly, sometimes for months, until the client is  on solid ground.

    • California HICAP is part of a national network of State Health Insurance and Assistance Programs (SHIP). SHIP is a Federal grant program that helps States enhance and support a network of local programs, staff, and volunteers. Local programs are charged with directly helping beneficiaries to understand the complexities of their Medicare benefits including Prescription Drug Plan coverage, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare supplemental policies, Medicare Savings Programs, and long term care insurance.
